One thing I really like to do in the evening when sitting on the sofa and watching stupid shows on TV, is to surf my favorite foodblogs for delicious recipes. The other day I was looking for a new birthday-cake recipe, or at least a fun idea to create a unique cake for my friend Nelly. And one recipe on marthastewart.com really caught my attention. It’s named the Darkest Chocolate Crepe Cake. I mean, come on… take a look at this. It’s so tempting! I needed to try this.

But I did it my way:

I made some regular crepes (without the extra chocolate) and I replaced the Hazelnut Filling with Nutella. I prepared the cake on Friday and let it sit in the fridge for a day. It was really delicious and so pretty when cutting it into pieces, although it could have been softer for my taste. Maybe it turned out not that soft because I didn’t use the Hazelnut Filling, or because I put it into the fridge. However, the cake was good tasting and Nelly really loved the look of it and that was payoff enough for me. :)

Fluffy Cranberrymuffins

Fluffy Cranberrymuffins

Today I found some dried cranberries in my kitchen, they were leftover from Christmas. I originally wanted to bake some cranberry cut-out cookies before Christmas, but in the end I just didn’t find the time. So what to do with 300g dried cranberries?

I decided to use these cranberries for some really yummi and fluffy muffins. I l.o.v.e. fruit-muffins! :)

The recipe is a really easy one. You basically first mix up all wet ingredients, then mix up all dry ingredients, combine the dry mixture with the wet mixture, add the fruits and bake. Voilá! Really easy and really quick. ;) Breakfast is served!
